Here is some recent work I've been up to. These are a mixture of studies I've been doing on different techniques. The art calls I am submitting to now are going to be inclusive of these techniques as long as they are cohesive and tell the story I desire.
The current piece I am working on (right image) will be one of two submissions to the theme, "There's No Place Like Home." A majority of the submissions I have seen so far are cliche to the saying. Going meta with this, beyond my own cliche responses (which are reflected in many of the submissions), I find myself attempting to convey a feeling of closeness.
So here I am being fartsy with capturing that attachment where warmth, trust, protection, and existence meet.
